Heritage Days entry forms are needed

Entry forms are available and needed for the Heritage Days parade, bed race and cornhole challenge. The parade entry form is due at the Chamber office by Friday, June 6 accompanied by the certificate of liability and $25 entry fee.

Bed Race forms are available at the Chamber office, 305 Warren Street, or online at Those interested in entering the race are encouraged to turn in their forms accompanied by the $25 entry fee as soon as possible. The Bed Race will take place on Saturday evening, June 21 in front of Huntington North High School during the car show and Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the first three winning places. Dan Juergens, Juergens Do-It-Best and Heritage Days steering committee member is the organizer of the Bed Race. For more information contact the Chamber at (260) 356-5300 or Dan Juergens at (260) 356-5214.

A Heritage Days Cornhole Challenge will take place on the afternoon of Saturday, June 21 in downtown Huntington. The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. and continue through the completion of the event. The Heritage Days Cornhole Challenge is hosted by Trophy Center Plus and Huntington County Habitat for Humanity. Teams are invited to participate with a $20 entry fee. Each competitor will receive a t-shirt and the winning team receives championship trophies and $50. The runner up team will receive $40.
