Heritage Days Bicycle Poker Ride to benefit trails

Posted: Friday, May 18, 2018

The Huntington Heritage Days 4th Annual Bicycle Poker Ride is a family event intended to promote and educate everyone on our growing trail system. The ride will take place on Sunday, June 24 beginning at 2 p.m. at Schenkel Station. There will be two divisions or age groups: Children/youth and adult. The event is free, but bicycle helmets are required.

The ride will be a slow paced 6.5-mile ride leaving from Schenkel Station and riding on the completed sections of our trails and low traveled city streets with five various stops. At each stop the riders will be given a card that they will keep with them until they return to Schenkel Station. Each participant’s card will be scored and the prizes will be awarded in each division.

The award ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. at Schenkel Station. Don’t miss the 50/50 tickets and yummy concessions. All funds raised will help pave the way for more trail development within the community.
