Heritage Days Bicycle Poker Ride to benefit trails

Posted: Friday, May 17, 2019

The Huntington Heritage Days 5th Annual Bicycle Poker Ride is a family event intended to promote and educate everyone about the growing trail system. The ride will take place on Sunday, June 23 beginning at 2 p.m. at Schenkel Station.

There will be two divisions or age groups for the ride, children/youth and adult. The event is free, but bicycle helmets are required. The ride will be slow paced, 6.5-miles, leaving from Schenkel Station and continuing on the completed sections of the trails and low traveled city streets with five various stops. At each stop the riders will be given a card they will keep with them until they return to Schenkel Station. Each participant’s card will be scored and the prizes will be awarded in each division.

The award ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. at Schenkel Station. Don’t miss the 50/50 tickets and yummy concessions. All funds raised will help pave the way for more trail development within the community.
