Heritage Days 2019 buttons now available

Posted: Friday, May 31, 2019

Heritage Days pin-on buttons are now available for purchase at the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce office, 305 Warren Street. The official button for Heritage Days 2019 shows the former Jefferson Park Mall which encompassed downtown Huntington.

The “mall” was a result of volunteer efforts in the spring and summer of 1969 which created a non-drive through area for shopping and dining. It also included play areas, benches and a fountain. The area has since been reopened to traffic, and for the convenience of those wishing to park in the downtown area.

Buttons are $2 each and can be used to receive discounts from June 16 to 23 at several Huntington businesses. Those presenting their 2019 button at sponsoring businesses will receive: a free ice cream cone with any hot dog value pack or adult basket meal at B&K Root Beer Stand; $1 off any size shake at Etna Avenue Dairy Queen; Huntington Twin Drive-In, free large ice cream cone with purchase of large ice cream and any size popcorn; KFC, buffet with drink for $8.69; Norwood Golf Course, buy one get one free (regular price) green fee; Parkview Huntington YMCA, half off enrollment fee for new members, $37.50 (normally $75), who join June 16 to 23, 2019 and Rusty Dog Irish Pub, free soft drink with food purchase.
