HCL announces leadership academy for 2016

The Huntington County Leadership board of directors announces the dates for the 2016 academy. The classes will begin on January 12, 2016, at 8:30 a.m.

The first class session will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Purdue Extension Office. Classes will meet bi-weekly until May 31, 2016. All class sessions will be from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Purdue Extension Office. Graduation ceremonies will be May 31, 2016.

The purpose and goal of this class is to help the participants enhance their leadership skills and use those skills to maintain and improve the quality of life in Huntington County. Students will learn to identify their own leadership style, to lead through interpersonal communication, to manage conflict, to serve on non-profit boards, to build a healthy community and many other topics. The tuition fee is $300 per student.
