HCCF to receive proceeds from Martin concert

Posted: Friday, March 19, 2021

Proceeds from the Cottage Event Center’s show March 26 in Roanoke featuring Country Western performer Carolyn Martin will benefit The Huntington County Community Foundation, whose campaign purchased a “Baby Box” for the city.

Martin, who superstar Vice Gill once called a “great swing singer,” has received accolades over her career including Western Swing Female Vocalist of the Year (three times), Hero of Western Swing by the Cowtown Society of Western Music and induction in both the Southwest and Northwest Western Swing Societies Halls of Fame.

Martin was also recently featured on the cover of Fort Wayne’s WhatsUp Magazine and on Northeast Indiana Public Television.

Three weeks after Martin’s performance, on April 16, the West Coast Sound of duo California Dreamin’ will be presented. Tickets for both shows are $12 and available at John’s Meat Market in Roanoke, online at cottageeventcenter.com, or by calling (260) 483-3508. Oley’s Pizza by the slice and a cash bar will be available. The event also marks the start of the venue’s ninth year in business.
