HCCF awards grants to McKenzie’s Hope

Posted: Friday, March 5, 2021

McKenzie’s Hope was recently awarded a grant from the Huntington County Community Foundation (HCCF) in the amount of $1,934 for the purchase of a new combination printer/copier/scanner. The child advocacy center is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse in Huntington County.

Since its founding in 2006, McKenzie’s Hope has been coordinating a unified, multidisciplinary team response to child abuse reports so that every child is treated with equal care and instances of abuse are thoroughly investigated. McKenzie’s Hope provides a safe and child-appropriate space for forensic child interviews and offers advocacy services to child victims and their families.

Over $52,698.00 in grant funds were distributed from HCCF’s 2020 Cycle II Grant Program to 15 charitable organizations serving Huntington County. The Foundation’s Cycle I Grant Program is now open and accepting applications at www.huntingtonccf.org/grants/hccf-grant-application. For more information, contact the Huntington County Community Foundation office by calling (260) 356-8878, or send an email to Jo Ellen Bradley at jo@huntingtonccf.org.
