HARTA holds second annual membership dinner

The Huntington Area Recreational Trails Association (HARTA) held its second annual membership dinner on Thursday, April 19. The dinner was held at the Historic Forks of the Wabash.

The evening’s program featured presentations from HARTA board members, Jim Lewis, Eric Bruce and Jeff Webb, who spoke of HARTA’s mission, recent and future trail events and association membership.

The keynote speaker, Dawn Ritchie, described the work of the Greenways Foundation of Indiana, and detailed recent trail development in the northeast Indiana region, including the City of Fort Wayne where she currently serves as Greenways Manager.

The event was attended by 140 trail supporters, guests and featured the presentation of the Jim O’Donnell Volunteer of the Year Award. The award was given to Kelly Frank for her years of committed service to trail programming, fundraising and advocacy in Huntington County.
