Habitat and ReStore to open new facility

Posted: Friday, September 12, 2014

Huntington County Habitat for Humanity and the ReStore has purchased a building at 250 Commerce Drive. The building was formerly Bircraft.

According to Sam Schaadt of Habitat for Humanity, “The building is being remodeled and updated to meet the demands of Habitat and the ReStore. The new building and layout will allow us to have an increased retail area, and we are looking forward to all of us being under one roof where we can better support each other.”

According to Schaadt, “We are currently accepting donations from the community to fill the space. The new location will house both the Habitat office and the ReStore into one location, but still remain separate businesses.”

Schaadt said that they hope to have the move completed by the end of October. Anyone wanting to volunteer to help with the move can call the Habitat for Humanity office at (260) 356-7425.
