Grants available at Community Foundation

Posted: Friday, September 25, 2020

Grant opportunities are being offered once again by the Huntington County Community Foundation. Applications are available at www.huntingtonccf.org for the Make a Difference grant and the Classroom Education grant due by October 15.

Make a Difference grants are awarded for charitable purposes that will make a positive material difference in Huntington County. Organizations or groups serving Huntington County who are classified as charitable 501(c)3 organizations or who have a 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor are eligible to apply. To apply for a Make a Difference grant, please visit www.huntingtonccf.org/grants.

Applications submitted for the Make a Difference grant will be evaluated on the following criteria: completeness, merit and quality of the application; immediate/ongoing impact upon Huntington County; known/anticipated community needs; number of persons benefited/affected and a clear statement addressing the need for the grant, proposed actions to be taken and goals that can be measured and achieved.

Applications that fall under the Community Foundation’s educational and community collaboration focus areas will receive special consideration. Grant requests for operational costs such as utilities, wages, mileage, etc., and political projects or campaigns will not be considered.

Classroom Education grants are available to teachers employed through the Huntington County Community School Corporation or Huntington Catholic School. Teachers are encouraged to apply for funding to implement innovative programs or projects in their classrooms that stimulate learning and help the educator meet state standards. Grants of $500 will be available per individual teacher, or $750 per multi-teacher collaboration. To apply for a Classroom Education grant, please visit www.huntingtonccf.org/education.

Applications submitted for the Classroom Education grant will be evaluated for their completeness and merit along with the quality and quantity of their impact upon Huntington County students. Applications will not be considered for personnel development or travel expenses.
