Grand opening, ribbon cutting held at Creations

Posted: Friday, June 26, 2015

Creations Beauty School, 495 Bowen Park, held a grand opening on Thursday, June 25 from 1 to 6 p.m. in celebration of the new business. Those in attendance were given a tour the facility and viewed students already learning the art of cosmetology. The open house was for students and any adult that wanted to learn about the cosmetology program. The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce performed a ribbon cutting at 3 p.m.

Students that attend the school will receive 1,500 hours of training and will learn all aspects of cosmetology from haircuts and styles, designs, color, manicures, pedicures and spa treatments. Refreshments were provided to those that attended.

According to Chad Daugherty, principal at Huntington North High School, “Huntington North High School will work closely with Creations Beauty School to help direct the students that are interested in cosmetology to the new school. By having the school in Huntington, this facility will be able to educate our students, keep our students in Huntington, and hopefully once their education is complete, find employment and stay in Huntington.”

Shown in the photo are Donna Gressley, owner of Creations Beauty School in the middle ready to cut the ribbon with scissors; Ron Gressley, Donna’s husband, to her right, and Gressley’s mother, to her left. Also pictured are several of Gressley’s family members along with Chamber Ambassadors and Chamber board members. The Chamber would like to send our very best to Donna Gressley and Creations Beauty School.
