Posted: Friday, July 17, 2020

Huntington County children up to and including age 18 can still grab free lunch and breakfast through the Huntington County Community School Corporation’s summer food service program.

“Grab ’n Go” pick-ups will be held July 16 and 23, at Andrews and Salamonie elementary schools from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and also at Huntington North High School from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Door 5. Five lunches and five breakfasts will be packaged up and handed out to any child in the county who arrives at one of the three locations.

It should be noted that “Grab ’n Go” events scheduled at General Slack Park, Memorial Park and Drover Park have been canceled.

Children attending K-Camp from July 20 through July 31 will receive breakfast from 7:55 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 10:25 a.m. to 11 a.m. Schools hosting K-Camps for children entering kindergarten in the new school year are Lincoln, Andrews, Flint Springs, Horace Mann and Salamonie elementary schools.
