Goss new Emergency Management director

Huntington County Emergency Management has named Lindsie Goss as its new director. Goss recently served as an emergency preparedness intern with Parkview Health in Fort Wayne.

Goss began her position Monday, April 29 and was selected from 14 applicants to fill the vacancy. According to Leon Hurlburt, president of the EMA advisory council, an administrative assistant will also be hired to work with Goss in the EMA office.

Working toward a master’s degree in disaster management form Philadelphia University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Goss expects to graduate in August. She earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies, with a minor in psychology, from Indiana University, Fort Wayne, in 2008.

Goss has worked as an emergency preparedness intern at Parkview Health since October 2012 and has served as an emergency room technician at Parkview Health since 2006. From 2005 to 2007, she worked as an emergency room technician at Indiana University Heath-Ball memorial Hospital, Muncie, and as a basic emergency medical technician in Eaton from 2003 to 2005.
