Girls invited to join Heritage Days pageant

Huntington County girls are invited to become contestants for the Little Miss and Junior Miss Heritage Days Pageant to be held Wednesday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at Crestview Middle School. The pageant is open to girls age five to 12, and is part of Huntington’s Heritage Days celebration.

Two divisions will be judged including Little Miss Heritage Days for girls, age five to eight, and Junior Miss Heritage Days, age nine to 12. The objective is for girls to learn about stage presence and gain self-confidence. Girls will be taught to model a dress of their choice and answer interview questions on stage.

Contestants will be judged on Modeling, Interview and Photogenic qualities. Pictures will be taken prior to the pageant and there is no purchase required.

Registration and the pageant clinic will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at Lincoln Elementary School. There is a $30 entry fee which should be brought to registration. Girls may obtain sponsorships from businesses, family members or a combination of both. The cost covers a participation trophy and souvenir t-shirt. Checks are to be made payable to Little Miss Heritage Days Pageant. The evening includes an orientation, picture sign up and a group picture taken for the newspaper.
