Girls encouraged to try Heritage Days pageants

Girls interested in becoming contestants for the Little Miss and Junior Miss Heritage Days Pageant are encouraged to obtain an application for the Saturday, April 26 orientation. The pageant will take place Wednesday, June 18 at 7 p.m.

The contest is open to girls from Huntington County, ages five to 12. Contestants will be judged in two divisions: Little Miss Heritage Days, ages five to eight and Junior Miss Heritage Days, ages nine to 12.

There is a $40 entry fee which should be brought along with the completed application to the mandatory orientation session at Lincoln Elementary School on April 26 at 1 p.m. Girls may obtain sponsorships from businesses, family members or a combination of both. Checks should be made payable to: Little Miss Heritage Days Pageant.

Contestants will be judged in interview, modeling and photogenic qualities. All contestants will receive a participation trophy and t-shirt. Newspaper photos will be taken. Contestants will sign up for pageant pictures to be taken at Frederick’s Photography Tuesday, April 29 or Thursday, May 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. (Purchase is optional).
