Forks of the Wabash Pioneer Festival canceled

Posted: Friday, June 19, 2020

The Forks of the Wabash Pioneer Festival steering committee has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Forks of the Wabash Pioneer Festival due to the concerns of the COVID-19 virus.

Even though we know the Governor is planning on allowing large gatherings on July 4, we are concerned about what the fall may bring with the virus and how this will affect our community, vendors and patrons coming to the festival. We want to make sure it is safe for participants of the festival and we feel social distancing, hand sanitizing and wearing face masks would be hard to control and monitor.

We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment that this has brought for our community. We look forward to seeing everyone September 2021. We are very excited about some new activities we have in the works and are planning on them for next year’s festival.

The steering committee regrets having to make this cancellation decision, if you have any questions please reach out to Jennifer Scalf at or Lori Satchwill at
