Forks says “thanks,” looking for volunteers

Posted: Friday, July 14, 2017

The Historic Forks of the Wabash thanks the Erie Band, the American Legion Post 85 and Mrs. Rose Marie Felts, the guest speaker, for the program in celebration of the Fourth of July. The staff at the Forks is thankful to the community for their support with 155 people attending the Fourth of July event.

The Historic Forks of the Wabash Museum is also looking for retired teachers, history buffs or people who are looking for a place to give some volunteer hours. The organization is in need of guides, interpreters and general volunteer workers to prepare for and participate in the fall and spring school tours. Volunteers are also needed for a number of special events that are lined up for the fall.

The Richardville Room in the Museum building at the Forks provides a great place to hold weddings, receptions, banquets, family reunions and other special events. The room can comfortably hold up to 190 people and has an attached kitchen. For more information on available dates and cost, please call the Historic Forks of the Wabash Office at (260) 356-1903.
