Forks extends “thank you” and upcoming events

Posted: Friday, August 25, 2017

The Board of Directors and staff at the Historic Forks of the Wabash want to extend a huge “thank you” to all who attended and participated in the Senior Day on August 15. The event was well attended and very positive feedback was received about the day and the presenters.

The Historic Forks of the Wabash will host the Huntington County Retired Teachers in the Richardville Room on Wednesday, September 6. The Forks look forward to hosting the group. The retired teachers will enjoy a luncheon and then take a tour of the museum buildings while they are here.

Once again the Historic Forks will be hosting a booth at the Pioneer Festival at Hier’s Park on Saturday and Sunday, September 23 and 24. The Forks invite folks to stop by to see items that they will have for sale, get information about upcoming events, sign up for the newsletter and to become members of the Historic Forks of the Wabash.

School tour season is has begun and the Forks is busy preparing for hosting a number of area elementary schools as they come to learn more about Indiana History, the Miami Native Americans and enjoy the facilities of the museum and educational park. Currently there are 24 schools signed up for tours this fall.
