First Federal announces four promotions

Elizabeth Cary, left, has been assigned to the head teller/new accounts representative position for the South Bend Drive, Fort Wayne, office. Cary has been with First Federal Savings Bank since October of 2017. Prior to joining First Federal she had over 20 years of customer service, cash handling and supervisory experience. A native to Huntington, Cary has two children and attends Concordia Lutheran Church.

Miriam Barker, center, has been assigned to customer service manager/loan processor for the north office in Huntington. Barker celebrated 30 years of service at First Federal this past February. Barker started as a teller, was promoted to head teller where she held that position for the next 11 years and was a CSR/new accounts/loan processor until being promoted to her present position. She resides in Huntington.

Brittney Shoemaker, right, has been assigned as a new accounts representative position at the north office. Shoemaker graduated from Indiana Tech with an associate’s degree in business administration. In September Shoemaker will celebrate working at First Federal Savings Bank for ten years, as a teller/head teller, seven years in operations, in the mortgage department and now new accounts representative. Shoemaker and her husband, Seth, of ten years, have two children. They attend New Life Fellowship Church, where she serves as a children’s church leader and in the meal ministry.

Michele Higgs has been assigned to the mortgage processer position. Higgs has been with First Federal Savings Bank since January 2019 and has worked as a teller at the south office. She has previous cash handling and clerical experience. Higgs has two children and four grandchildren. She resides in the Huntington area.
