FinancialHope announces education classes

FinancialHope Counseling and Education will offer two Bankruptcy Education workshops in April, Tuesday, April 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. and Thursday, April 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. Both workshops will take place at FinancialHope located at 4105 W. Jefferson Boulevard in Fort Wayne.

All class participants should arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete a pre-test. Topics from the course include: the keys to getting ahead, developing a budget to get what you want, financial tools to help you, understanding credit, the importance of knowing your credit score, and what to do when things go wrong. All classes are two hours in length and attendees will need to supply the following: their bankruptcy case number, their attorney’s name, a photo ID and either a $50 money order if filed single or a $75 money order if filed jointly. Payment may also be made with a debit card.

At the end of the class, attendees will receive the required USDOJ certificate of completion. Each participant will need to vie their attorney or court the certificate of completion to have their debts discharged. Please note the program cost, including certificate, are $50 for individual or $75 for couples and may be made by money order, cashier’s check, or debit card and must be made prior to taking the course.
