Farmer's Market open on Wednesdays, 4-7

Posted: Friday, June 7, 2013

Huntington was the recipient of its first Farmer’s Market downtown on Wednesday, June 5. The Downtown Farmer’s Market was held in the city parking lot on the corner of Warren and Market Streets. The market will continue in this location and will be open on Wednesdays, from 4 to 7 p.m., from June 5 through October 30.

For its debut, the market had five different vendors selling everything from home-grown tomatoes, rhubarb, green beans and strawberries to plants and starter plants. The market also had a vendor selling hand-made jewelry and gluten-free baked goods.

The market will be advertised in downtown Huntington with a banner like the one shown above. Those who didn’t make it to the first market should be sure to stop by next week and see what goods are available in downtown Huntington on Wednesday evenings.
