Family LifeCare offering grief management classes

Posted: Friday, November 6, 2015

Family LifeCare invites the community to a series of “Managing Grief during the Holidays” support sessions. When a person has lost someone special, their world loses it celebratory qualities. Holidays only magnify the loss. The sadness feels sadder and the loneliness goes deeper.

The need for support may be the greatest during the holidays. Family Grief Support can help individuals get through the holidays. We will help individuals understand that rather than avoiding the feelings of grief, Family LifeCare will help them lean into them. Topics include: surviving Thanksgiving after the death of a loved one, managing grief bursts during the holidays and how to celebrate Christmas without your loved one.

Sessions held at River Terrace Retirement Community, located at 400 Caylor Boulevard, Bluffton will be held on: November 16, November 30 and December 14 at 1:30 p.m. Sessions held at Family LifeCare, located at 108 S. Jefferson Street, Berne will be held on: November 17, December 1 and December 15 at 6 p.m. Sessions will also be held at the Family LifeCare office, located at 705 S. Baldwin Avenue, Marion on: November 23 and December 7.
