EXCEL to launch three new online degree programs

Posted: Friday, July 23, 2010

Huntington University’s EXCEL Adult Degree Program will offer two new online degree programs in the fall in addition to one in the spring.

In August, EXCEL will roll out an Associate of Science degree program in Organizational Management and a Bachelor of Science degree program in Business Administration.  The Bachelor of Science degree program in Human Resource Management will launch in the spring of 2011.  All three programs will be entirely online.  EXCEL began offering an online bachelor’s degree program in not-for-profit leadership in the spring of 2009.

“EXCEL provides quality, convenient, Christ-centered education,” said Dr. Rick Upchurch, director of EXCEL.  “Our students have the benefit of learning from instructors who have both the academic credentials and the professional experience to teach in their disciplines.”

EXCEL offers online and evening classes tailored to the schedule of working adults.  Onsite classes are held one night per week, one subject at a time in Huntington, Columbia City, and Wabash, IN.  Classes last five to eight weeks and lead to an associate degree in organizational management or Christian ministry or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, human resource management, not-for-profit leadership or nursing (RN to BSN).

EXCEL also has the Gateway Program onsite and online, giving adults the opportunity to take continuing education classes for personal enrichment.

Financial aid is available.  Options include grants, scholarships, loans and a Three-Pay Plan.  Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), WorkOne and veteran’s benefits are accepted.  For more information, log on to www.huntington.edu/excel/tuition.htm
