Echo Lake Foods buys former Unilever plant

Posted: Friday, November 22, 2013

Wisconsin-based frozen food manufacturer Echo Lake Foods has purchased a former ice cream plant in Huntington. The building formerly occupied by Unilever was vacated over the summer.

Echo Lake Foods makes frozen foods including eggs, pancakes and waffles. The company was founded in 1941 and has headquarters in Burlington, Wisconsin.

Earlier this year, Unilever said it was considering the move and transferring production to other facilities with more potential growth capacity. The company produced Breyers and Good Humor brand ice cream products at the Huntington facility.
