Downtown Huntington receives its second mural

Posted: Friday, September 11, 2020

America Carrillo has created a new mural on the side of the building at 35 W. Market Street. The mural is part of a festival occurring in Indiana where 11 murals are being painted on the side of designated buildings in 11 cities in 11 days.

According to Carrillo’s Facebook page she normally works until her head hurts from starvation and then grabs the first bag of chips she sees, but her crew has been eating healthy thanks to County Commissioner Tom Wall, the Brick House Grill and Chapman’s Brewing Company.

Carrillo said, “It is so cool to feel all the local love!”

Shown in the photo is the mural as seen on Thursday afternoon. Carrillo said that the mural is meant to represent Huntington.
