Donations sought to replace flags downtown

Posted: Friday, March 2, 2012

Donations are being sought to replace the 41 American flags that fly on downtown Huntington light poles during the summer months. The Huntington Downtown Business Association is replacing the flags purchased three years ago with donations from the community, which are now faded and tattered.

Downtown Business Association President Justin Wall explained that gifts to help purchase the flags can be made in the name of an individual, business or organization, or in memory of a loved one. The flags fly from approximately Memorial to Labor Day.

Gifts can be brought or mailed to Wall Legal Services, 309 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington or the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce, 305 Warren Street, Huntington. Contributions should include the name of the donor and be designated for the Downtown Business Association Flag Project.

For more information, call Wall Legal Services at (260) 504-2714.
