De-Trash the Wabash to take place in July

Teams are being formed to clean up sections of the Wabash River from downtown Huntington to the Wabash County line. De-Trash the Wabash will take place on Saturday, July 27 and help is needed to accomplish this special project.

Those involved will help restore the beauty of the Wabash River and the Little River. The project is sponsored by the Wabash River Heritage Corridor Commission and the City of Huntington.

Each team will work on about a one mile section and will meet at 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 27 at the Awakening Church, 235 Safari Trail. Work will end at noon. For more information or to join a team, call Kirk Strass at (260) 358-2313 or Dave Hacker, (260) 224-3288.
