Daniels new director of Historical Museum

The board of the Huntington County Historical Museum named Teresa Daniels as the museum’s new director effective March 15. Daniels, a lifelong resident of Huntington County, enjoys meeting people and hearing and sharing stories of the past.

Daniels was the first director for the Sheets Wildlife Museum, a program director at Science Central and a former volunteer for the Upper Wabash Interpretive Services at Salamonie Reservoirs and Huntington County 4-H.

The next public meeting at the museum will be Wednesday, May 21 at 7 p.m. Alan Teller of Kokomo will give a presentation on U.S. Gliders and Glider Pilots of WWII. Teller was a glider pilot in a military career that lasted from 1940 to 1946. He took part in three invasions in Normandy, Southern France and Holland.

The museum is located at 315 Court Street and its officers include Michael Howell, president; Gib Young, vice president; Sharon Ruppert, secretary and Matthew Ditzler, treasurer.
