Posted: Friday, June 12, 2020

Pathfinder Services, Inc. board chair Paula Whiting has announced the hiring of Danielle Tips as the new president and CEO to replace retiring president and CEO John Niederman officially on January 1, 2021.

Tips has spent the last 12 years at Easter Seals Arc of Northeast Indiana, serving the past three years as vice president of Health and Residential Supports. She is an accomplished executive leader who has spent her career in nonprofit and disability services. Though Tips is new to Pathfinder Services, she is well acquainted with the organization, having grown up in Huntington County and worked in the same field and area covered by Pathfinder Services.

“We are so thrilled to have Danielle join Pathfinder Services,” says Whiting. “Not only does she bring skills of strong leadership and expertise in the field, but she also has a strong passion for our mission and those we serve. She will be a terrific successor to build on John Niederman’s legacy.”

As president and CEO, Tips will be responsible for the overall leadership and strategic planning of the organization, establishing short-term and long-term goals and facilitating the accomplishment of those goals.

“This is an incredible opportunity to become part of an organization with such deep roots in the communities which they serve” says Tips. “I look forward to helping continue the mission of Pathfinder Services to serve people in northeast Indiana and strengthen our communities through acceptance and inclusion of people of all abilities.”

Tips has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Ball State University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Saint Francis.

Tips will begin at Pathfinder Services on August 3 to work with Niederman in preparation to take over the role in January.
