Crawford joins Habitat as Volunteer Coordinator

Posted: Friday, September 7, 2012

Huntington County Habitat for Humanity will benefit from the work of an AmeriCorps member for the next year. Margo Crawford has agreed to serve as Volunteer Coordinator for Habitat’s ReStore and construction sites.

Americorps programs in Indiana are administered on behalf of the Indiana Commission on Community Service and Volunteerism (ICCSV) by the Indiana Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI). These two groups coordinated grants to 18 organizations in the state through the Corporation for National and Community Service. The grants will support a total of 635 full and part-time AmeriCorps members meeting such needs as providing housing support, homework help, youth health programming, financial literacy training, disaster response assistance and aid to military families.
