County offices, Council on Aging moving

County offices at the Courthouse Annex Building are moving the last two weeks of September. The Huntington County offices located in the Courthouse Annex Building at 354 N. Jefferson Street moved to their new location at 1350 S. Jefferson Street (former Hiner Transport building) starting the week of September 21.

Days that offices will be closed due to the move are: Purdue Extension Office was closed on September 22 and 23. It re-opened Thursday at the new location. The Health Department will be closed September 28 through 30. It will re-open October 1 at the new location. The Veterans Service office will be closed September 28 through 30. It will re-open October 1 also at the new location.

As of September 28, the old Annex location at 354 N. Jefferson Street will be closed to the public. Phone messages will be monitored as possible, but return calls may not occur until after the specific office’s move is complete.

The Huntington County Council on Aging and HAT also moved out of the Annex during the week of September 21. The offices are temporarily located at Central Christian Church, 500 MacGahan Street.
