Cottage Event Center to resume concerts

Posted: Friday, August 21, 2020

The Cottage Event Center in Roanoke will resume its schedule of entertainment September 25 using a more social distancing friendly floorplan. The facility’s first event since the COVID-19 shut down will feature Country Rock band Sugar Shot with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Roanoke Public Library.

Due to COVID-19 precautions the number of available seats will be reduced. Smaller tables will be placed with more room around the venue to allow for social distancing and guests are encouraged to wear a mask when entering and whenever not in their seat.

Sugar Shot with a previous lineup performed several times at The Cottage Event Center. The group is led by lead singer/rhythm guitarist, Jen Fisher. Other members of the band are Jonah Leatherman, lead guitar and vocals; Tommy Myers, bass and vocals; Gary Martin, pedal steel guitar and John Foxworthy, drums and vocals.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and music begins at 7:30 p.m. BBQ pulled pork sandwiches will be available for purchase and a cash bar will also be available. Tickets are available by calling (260) 483-3508, online at cottageeventcenter.com, and at John’s Meat Market in Roanoke.

The Cottage Event Center will feature oldies rock by The Bobby Swag Band on October 23 to benefit the Roanoke Police Department.
