Community Garden to host garden party

Helping Hands Community Garden is hosting their Annual Garden Party on July 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free celebration includes educational opportunities around gardening and food safety, fun crafts and activities and a free lunch. The garden is located at 1340 S. Jefferson Street, behind the Purdue Extension office.

The Helping Hands Community Garden offers a variety of fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs. Harvest hours for the Helping Hands Community Garden are Mondays, 4 to 6 p.m.; Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. In August additional community workshops will be held on the fourth Saturday of each month.
