Community & Family Services to hold grill-off

Posted: Friday, June 30, 2017

Community & Family Services is planning a grill-off for the community and are looking for help from the community. The grill-off will be held on Saturday, September 16 at Drover Park, 1215 Etna Avenue (Splash Pad), from 5 to 8 p.m.

The grill-off committee is looking for community involvement, and the proceeds will be given back to promote local community resources. All funds generated during the completion will be used to help individuals and families that are struggling with their utility bills and will remain in Huntington County to be used for Huntington County residents.

The goal of the event is to serve a meal to 200 people and we are in need of six to ten grillers. Community & Family Services are asking for grilling contestants and or monetary donations for the event.

If your business is interested in donating to the event, your business will be acknowledged in all publicity along with being printed on the T-shirts. Grilling contestants have the opportunity to win a $25 gift certificate to The Meat Shop, a trophy and more.

You will receive a grilled item of your choice, chips, cookie and a bottle of water for $5. For an additional $2 per item, attendees may choose additional grilled items. Carry-out services are available. The public is invited.
