Comedy-Mystery Dinner at Event Center

Posted: Friday, November 22, 2013

Roanoke’s Cottage Event Center plays host to a hilarious night of Homicidal Hijinks on New Year’s Eve with the presentation of “Harry Ripley’s Birthday Blues,” an Audience Participation Dinner Theater production starring Fort Wayne’s Bower-North Productions. The event is a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (“Jerry’s Kids”).

Harry Ripley’s Birthday Blues features Larry Bower as the bumbling “Defective Detective” John Fieldstone, a sleuth seemingly does everything wrong right up until the very moment he solves another dastardly crime.

Those attending the show will mingle with the characters during cocktails and then enjoy a delicious dinner buffet catered by Huntington’s 1024 Catering. Once dinner is completed the Murderous Mayhem ensues, with an audience member recruited to play a feature role … as the victim. Once John Fieldstone completes his incompetent investigation, each audience member will be asked to fill out a crime report, with one attendee named Detective of the Night.

A cash bar will be available. Tickets are $30 per person, and may be ordered by calling (260) 483-3508. Doors open and dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins around 7:45 p.m.

The Cottage Event Center is owned and operated by Hamilton Hospitality Group LLC. For more information or to tour the facility please call (260) 414-2015.
