Comedian James Gregory at Honeywell Center

Posted: Friday, September 16, 2011

Mi Tunes 101.9 and 105.9 The Bash will welcome James Gregory: The Funniest Man in America to the Honeywell Center in Wabash on Friday, September 23 at 7:30 p.m.

For over two decades the unforgettable image of veteran comedian James Gregory has stood on stage grinning, his shirt untucked, his arms outstretched, a carefree welcome to a down-home comedy experience.  His brand of humor is storytelling at its best, with the absence of vulgarity.  This, along with carefully crafted stories is what sets James apart from other comedians.

“I have lived long enough to know people, know life,” Gregory reflects. “My comedy is based on my life experiences.  It’s real, it’s funny and the audience loves it. That’s why I’m still in business.”

In his first project in 13 years, James Gregory’s “Beef Stew for the Brain” dishes up imitations on annoying relatives, obsession with the weather, spoofing health addicts, modern parents, and out-of-control environmentalists.  If you found “Chicken Soup for the Soul” just a tad too syrupy, you will enjoy James Gregory’s outlook on life.

Tickets are $12, $18, $25, and may be purchased at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling (260) 563-1102 or visiting www.honeywellcenter.org.
