Archery Tag will be a featured event as part of the Heritage Days Kids Zone! The Heritage Days Kids Zone, formerly located in downtown Huntington, will move to Huntington North High School on Saturday, June 22, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The Kids Zone will feature free camel and pony rides and a petting zoo sponsored by McDonald’s of Huntington. It will also include Archery Tag, Hover Ball and an inflatable obstacle course sponsored by Christian Life Tabernacle.

The Parkview Boys & Girls Club of Huntington County will sponsor a Bounce House, and the Huntington City Township Public Library will bring the Bookmobile, feature little children’s games and face painting. The Joy Pleaser clowns will be on hand to entertain at the festivities.

Beacon Credit Union will feature the annual Kiddie Tractor Pull from 3 to 5 p.m. with registration beginning at 2:30 p.m. The proceeds from the Kiddie Tractor Pull benefit Riley Children’s Hospital. The Parkview Samaritan helicopter and emergency vehicles will be on hand for tours.

Teams of five youth each are encouraged to play Archery Tag. The event is organized by Christian Life Tabernacle, who brings the equipment and facilitates the play. Each team playing pays $50, and it is tournament-style play. Area youth groups and anyone interested in organizing a team of five should contact Richard Fishburn at (260) 358-9100.

Food will be available for purchase. Gerdau Huntington Facility is the official sponsor of Heritage Days, The ’60s: “Yesterday.” For more information about any of these events, contact the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce, the organizer of the Kids Zone, at (260) 356-5300.
