Christmas Tree Walk announce winners

The Historic Forks of the Wabash held its annual Christmas Tree Walk in the new addition to the facility Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4. Businesses, organizations and individuals from the community decorated 32 Christmas trees and three wreaths for viewing by the public. Visitors to the event were encouraged to vote for their favorite tree and winners were selected from these votes.

The first-place winning tree was created by Tam-A-Sak; second place, Lake City Bank; third, Huntington Nursery; fourth, McVoy Design Studio and the fifth place award went to the Huntington County Visitor and Convention Bureau. Participating trees and the winners of these trees included: Beacon Credit Union, Holley Knetler; Bippus State Bank, Karen Santos; Boys & Girls Club of Huntington County, Mandy Reber; College Park Preschool, Dawn Rupley; Doctor Construction, Mya Macaleese; First Federal Savings Bank, Pat Gelzleichter; Hat Pin Has-Beens, Mary Swenda; Huntington County Retired Teachers Assoc., Martha Hedges; Huntington County Visitor and Convention Bureau, Deb Scheiber; Huntington Nursery, Pauline Gearhart; Huntington Parkview Family YMCA, Vicki Hoium; Huntington University, Maddie Houser; Izaak Walton League, Shannon Doust; Joan Boyer, Beth Crist; Kilsoquah Chapter ABWA, Lisa Peare; Kiwanis of Huntington, Dani Tippmann; Lake City Bank, Mary Sell; Master Gardeners of Huntington County, Bryan Koher; McVoy Design Studio, Sue Kornexl; Merry Red Hatters, Janice Bolin; Miller’s Merry Manor, Pat Sieberns and Norwood Health & Rehabilitation, Andrea Bruch.

Additional trees and the winners include: Oak Brook Village, Joanne Grassl; Pathfinder/Kids Kampus, Deb Princell; Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Nancy Goetz; St. Peter Lutheran Quilters/Juergens Do-It Center, Nell Hakes; Sell Chiropractic, Midge Decker; Tam-A-Sak, Susan Draper; Trinity United Methodist Kids Kingdom, Rebecca Landers; W.A. Jones Truck Equipment, RaeAnne Fahl; Wehr Into Flowers, Kaiden McClurg and Town & Country Flowers, Karen Rupe.

In the new category for wreaths, those participating included Bippus State Bank, Victory Noll and Nadean Piedmont.
