Christmas in the City to take place November 30

Christmas in the City will be held in downtown Huntington Saturday, November 30 from 3 to 6 p.m. The Downtown Business Association (DBA) Christmas in the City committee has been meeting to plan the special holiday event for 2019.

The event will include live reindeer, pony rides and petting zoo, trackless train rides, face painting, ornament painting, story time and a Whoville featuring The Grinch. Buddy the Elf along with Elsa and Anna from the movie Frozen, carolers and saxophone and brass ensembles from the Erie Band will also join in on the fun.

Free photos with Santa at the Courthouse will be taken by Frederick’s Photography from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Coloring time, hot chocolate, cider, cookies, candy canes and more will be provided to those in attendance.

Santa is scheduled to arrive on a firetruck led by HARTA bicycles lit with Christmas lights at Rotary Centennial Park for the community tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Free glow sticks will be available for those in attendance.
