Christmas in the City, downtown, November 24

Christmas in the City will take place on Friday, November 24 in downtown Huntington from 3 to 8 p.m. The event will be a late afternoon into evening event this year with family-friendly activities starting at 3 p.m. at Rotary Centennial Park.

Activities such as making greeting cards, coloring and special merchant deals will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. The Huntington County Children’s Choir will perform from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. with Santa arriving by fire truck at Rotary Centennial Park at 5:45. The lighting of the giant Christmas tree will also take place.

A light parade with children and parents following the fire truck with Santa down to Franklin Street and on to the LaFontaine Center Ballroom will take place at 6 p.m. where Santa will meet with the children until 8 p.m.
