Chapman's Brewing Company officially opens

Posted: Friday, November 8, 2019

The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at Chapman’s Brewing Company on Friday, November 8 to officially open the new restaurant for business. The taproom/restaurant is under new ownership and management. Dax Belcher is the general manager.

Executive chef Jason Winterfeld, of local food truck JB’s Cuisine Machine, has revamped the kitchen at Chapman’s Brewing Company’s Huntington taproom, and there is a brand-new menu. “With me and my crew at the helm of the Chapman’s kitchen, customers will hopefully be excited to find menu items that highlight clean eating. My menu is hyper-local, and from scratch. We have many unique items on the menu, as well as many gluten-free and vegetarian options,” said Winterfeld.

The menu will also offer from-scratch soups, specialty salads and customizable sandwiches. “A notable highlight,” Winterfeld says, “are foods utilizing Chapman’s, excellent beer, in the recipes, such as hand-battered fish and chips, a John’s Meat Market Cherry Bratwurst, a beer-cheese soup and fresh Wisconsin-cheddar cheese curds.”

For patrons hoping to bring the entire family for dinner, the taproom is kid-friendly, and the chef says he has also created a new children’s menu offering made-to-order, fresh and healthy food options for the kids.

Chapman’s Huntington taproom is located at 435 Cherry Street. The kitchen will be open Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
