Chamber to host seminar September 12

The Chamber of Commerce will host Essential Business Applications for the Workplace on Thursday, September 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The seminar will be conducted by Mark Smith of Verizon and will take place at the Horace Mann Education Center located at 2845 Waterworks Road.

The seminar is a hands on workshop designed to allow the business owner or manager to explore the various business applications available to make their job more efficient. Participants will learn great ways to streamline their business and cut operating costs. Concentration will be toward using smart devices including phones and/or tablets for anything and everything in the business world. Subjects covered will be using apps to cut time killers, apps that help a business go paperless and how to secure a business using technology.

Attendees are encouraged to bring phones and tablets. The fee for the event is $10 for Chamber members and $20 for non-Chamber members. The cost includes lunch and a beverage. Please reply to the Chamber office at (260) 356-5300 or to skimmel@huntington-chamber.com to reserve your space.
