Posted: Friday, October 23, 2020

The Huntington Bicycle Shop is one of Huntington’s newest retail shops. Located at 45 Etna Avenue, Suite 100 (lower level of the former South Side Furniture), the staff of Brooks, Jim, Nick and Zen are all experienced riders and mechanics who love bicycles and the people who ride them.

A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting will be held tomorrow, October 24 from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. The ribbon cutting will take place at noon at the Henry Street entrance. Regular hours are Tuesdays, 4 to 7 p.m.; Thursdays, 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays, 12 to 6 p.m. (March through November). Arrangements can be made for the drop-off of bicycles at other times by appointment. The shop phone number is (260) 224-0232.

The staff of The Huntington Bicycle Shop believes in “Bicycles for Everyone.” They know “Anyone can buy a Bike; they want you to become a Cyclist.” Services and repairs are available for all bicycles and the staff wants you to bring them “your tired, your poor, your messed up” bicycles. They provide vintage bicycle rehabs and can make your vintage bicycle “beautiful again.”

The Huntington Bicycle Shop sells quality new and used bicycles between $250 and $2,500. Also, a wide array of bicycle parts and accessories including helmets, locks, tubes, tires, baskets and more are available. Repair stands can be rented with professional support to do your own repairs. Instructional videos are also available.

Organized “fun rides,” suitable for various levels of cyclists and riders, are scheduled periodically by The Huntington Bicycle Shop. Brooks, Jim, Nick and Zen support the local and regional efforts to build a network of recreational trails for the health and wellbeing of the citizens of Huntington and those who participate from surrounding areas.
