Chamber offering scholarship, deadline March 1

The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce is proud to provide a $1,000 scholarship to high school seniors wishing to further their education. To apply for this scholarship, the student must be pursuing an education in a vocational, certification, or two-year program.

Applicants must be a high school senior planning to graduate in the current school year and be a resident of Huntington County. The following steps must be completed in order to apply for the scholarship:

Complete application, two recommendations must be submitted with your application, attach an essay of 300 to 500 words, include transcript of the most recent semester. The scholarship winner will be required to provide verification of enrollment before the funds are released to the school. No funds will be sent directly to the student. The scholarship winner must submit documentation by October 1 of the winning year to claim funds. If not received, the scholarship committee reserves the right to forward the scholarship to the runner-up of that application period.
