Posted: Friday, June 28, 2019

The Goody’s store has been replaced by sister apparel and home decor retailer Gordmans, a part of Stage Stores’ community of stores. The new store is located in the former Goody’s space at 2092 N. Jefferson Street in the Huntington Plaza.

Gordmans held its grand opening celebration with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 27, at 9 a.m. performed by the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce. During the grand opening, Gordmans presented a check for $1,000 to the Huntington North High School athletic department.

The community was invited to attend the ribbon cutting, joining city and Chamber representatives in welcoming the new store, one of 36 new Gordmans stores opening this month across the country. As part of the festivities, the store offered giveaways, including an opportunity to win a gift card or shopping card plus an insulated tote bag to the first 100 people in line. Credit card and rewards offers were available to customers.

Parent company Stage Stores Inc. operates in 42 states through 685 Bealls, Goody’s, Palais Royal, Peebles and Stage specialty department stores and 105 Gordmans off-price stores, as well as an e-commerce website at www.stage.com.
