Chamber holds Essential Business workshop

Posted: Friday, September 20, 2013

The Chamber of Commerce held an Essential Business Applications for the Workplace workshop on Thursday, September 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The workshop was conducted by Mark Smith of Verizon and took place at the Horace Mann Education Center located at 2845 Waterworks Road.

The seminar was a hands on workshop designed to allow the business owner or manager opportunities to explore the various business applications available to make their job more efficient. All participants used an iPad and learned new ways to streamline their business and cut operating costs through the use of apps. Concentration was toward using smart devices including phones and/or tablets for anything and everything in the business world.

Overall, the Community Development/Small Business committee is excited by their first attempt; and look forward to their next session - Series 2/Social Media and then an App Drill Down workshop. If you would like more information about our upcoming workshops or seminars, please call the Chamber office at (260) 356-5300.
