The Carson & Barnes Circus of Hugo, Oklahoma will be traveling to Huntington for two shows on Wednesday, August 1. The circus is the largest traveling circus in the world with each show holding upwards of 2,000 spectators. MarkleBank will serve as corporate sponsor for the circus with the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce serving as organizer of the event.

The circus will set up their “city” on the corner of Broadway and US 24 Bypass on the W.A. Zimmer lot. Setup will begin in the morning with elephants erecting the tent. The circus will have elephants, camels, clowns, acrobats, aerialists, horses, jugglers, dogs, flying trapeze artists, plus a variety of acts and a zoo. The circus will also offer pony, camel and elephant rides.

Tickets will be available for purchase during the month of July. The Roanoke, Markle and Warren Chambers of Commerce along with the 4-H Fair Board will be selling tickets for the event. All proceeds will go back to the three area Chambers and the 4-H Fair Board.

More information will be coming soon through the Chamber Notes, website, Facebook and the Chamber’s July newsletter.
