Posted: Friday, October 22, 2010

The second annual Life Long Learning Career Fair will be held on Thursday, November 4 at Huntington North High School. The information presented at the fair will be beneficial to all freshmen and other invited students from the high school. Life Long Learning hopes to help students make career choices while in high school enabling them to schedule the classes they will need for their chosen career.

Twelve different careers will be featured in individual booths with those experienced in the particular field available to talk with students. Local professionals are volunteering their time to discuss their careers in fields such as agriculture, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, financial services, building and construction, arts and communication, education and training as a career, health services, public safety and security, marketing, sales and commercial services, science engineering and technology, and social and recreational services. Each student will be introduced to the “soft skills” such as team work, dependability, reliability, motivation, customer focus, commitment, flexibility, communication, and responsibility as well.
