Cardinal Family Medicine to host Walk with a Doc

Posted: Friday, March 24, 2017

How much do daily habits like diet and exercise affect your risk for cancer? Much more than you might think. Research has shown that a healthy diet and consistent activity are two key factors that can decrease a person’s risk of cancer death by a third.

Besides quitting smoking, some of the most important things you can do to help reduce your cancer risk are to get and stay at a healthy weight throughout life, be physically active on a regular basis and make healthy food choices with a focus on plant-based foods.

Come walk with Dr. Matt Pflieger and Dr. Janelle Maxwell from Cardinal Family Medicine on Saturday, April 15 at 10 a.m. at Huntington’s Evergreen Trail, 1390 Evergreen Road, for a brief talk on the importance of cancer prevention followed by a walk on the trail. Call (260) 204-0505 for more information.
