BSB returns PPP fee income to non-profits

Posted: Friday, November 13, 2020

The Bippus State Bank (BSB) was able to assist several not-for-profit organizations in the Huntington, Wabash and Allen county markets with Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans through the Small Business Administration (SBA).

The Bippus State Bank president, Eric Fawcett, stated, “Not-for-profits play a vital role in our communities by continually providing a selfless and generous service to those in need. With COVID-19 affecting how these organizations typically raise funds, we wanted to assist them in any way possible. We decided that we would donate all the fees earned on the not-for-profit PPP loans to these organizations so they could use the funds where they are most needed within our communities.”

In total, BSB has returned over $18,000 in PPP fee income to the local not-for-profit organizations in the communities they serve. “This is what community banking is all about,” says Fawcett.

The Bippus State Bank has a long history of promoting economic growth and stability within its communities while also serving and supporting them since 1911.

Dedicated to building relationships, staying true to their roots and providing ‘bankingatitsbest,’ The Bippus State Bank remains a locally owned community bank. The Bippus State Bank currently has offices in Huntington and Wabash counties.
